Ability Matters Connections

Ability Matters Connections Business tours have been organized for local job counselors and business service partners that serve people with disabilities to assist them in fulfilling employment needs through the disability population. The goal is to improve the program participant's knowledge of the business environment, to identify job opportunities for their clients on the employer's site, and to share resources with employers.

MaTech

An average of 11 participants per tour have visited Peninsula Regional Medical Center, MaTech, Inc., and Shore Distributors resulting in at least four opportunities for job candidates with disabilities.

PRMC1

Kathy Brittingham, Shauna Lee and Carmina Lockman learn about Environmental services from Tony Gill, Environmental Services Manager at PRMC.

PRMC2

Bill Hannemann, Materials Manager at PRMC, talk to counselors about transporting patients, receiving and distributing supplies, and laundry services.

PRMC3

Kathy Gattis talks to counselors about food services for staff, patients,and visitors to the hospital.
